Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Lyanna Labs LLC (“Lyanna Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Florida limited liability company, collects, uses, and protects information when you visit this website or use MemoBox. We keep this policy short and plain.

Information we collect

We aim to collect as little as possible. Depending on how you use MemoBox, this may include:

• Information you provide — your account details when you create an account: your email and password, or, if you use Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, the name and email address that service shares with us. We also collect an email address if you contact support.
• Your dates — the birthdays, anniversaries, people, and holidays you add to MemoBox, stored on our servers so we can remind you and sync them across your devices. If you import a birthday from your contacts, we save only the contacts you explicitly pick — never the rest of your address book.
• Usage data — how you use the app: the screens you visit, the buttons you tap, the features and subscription offers you interact with, plus app version and device type. If you have an account, this data is linked to it; before you create an account it is collected under a random identifier.
• Session replays — recordings of your in-app activity that we can play back to diagnose problems and improve the app. Anything you type and images are masked and never leave your device.
• Diagnostics — crash reports, error reports, and performance measurements, including your IP address and, if you have an account, your account ID and email so we can find and fix problems affecting you.

How we use information

• To operate MemoBox and send the reminders and email digests you ask for.
• To sync your dates across your devices and your calendar feed.
• To respond to support requests you send us.
• To detect and fix bugs and crashes.
• To understand how MemoBox is used — which features people use, where they get stuck, and which subscription offers work — so we can improve the product.

We do not sell your personal information, we do not use your data for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Analytics and diagnostics tools

We use PostHog for product analytics and session replay, and Sentry for crash and performance reporting. Both process data only on our behalf. Analytics events are linked to your account once you create one (including purchase events, so we can understand which parts of the app lead people to subscribe). Our subscription processor (RevenueCat) also receives your analytics identifier so that subscription events, like renewals, can appear in our analytics.

Push notifications

MemoBox sends reminders as push notifications. These are delivered through Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging using a device token. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

Calendar sync

If you enable calendar sync, MemoBox generates a private, read-only calendar feed (an ICS link) that you can subscribe to in Apple, Google, or Outlook Calendar. The link contains a secret token; anyone with the link can view the feed, so keep it private. You can revoke it at any time from the app.

Cookies

This website does not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising trackers. The MemoBox app uses minimal local storage (such as authentication tokens) strictly to operate the product.

Data storage and security

We use industry-standard practices to protect the information we hold. Data transmitted to our servers is encrypted in transit (TLS), and access to stored data is restricted.

Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as needed to provide MemoBox or to meet legal obligations. Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted within a reasonable period after you request deletion or close your account. Analytics and crash diagnostics are kept for a limited period by the providers listed below; aggregate statistics that no longer identify you may be retained longer.

Third parties (sub-processors)

We use a small set of trusted service providers who process data only on our behalf and only to the extent necessary to provide their service:

• Apple Inc. — app distribution, in-app purchases, Sign in with Apple, and push notifications (United States).
• Google LLC — authentication, including Sign in with Google (Google Identity) and Firebase; push messaging; and app distribution and billing on Android (United States).
• RevenueCat, Inc. — managing subscriptions and purchases (United States).
• PostHog, Inc. — product analytics and session replay (United States).
• Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry) — crash and performance reporting (United States).
• Resend, Inc. — sending transactional email, such as verification emails and the digests you opt into (United States).
• Railway Corp. — hosting our servers and database (United States).
• Expo (650 Industries, Inc.) — delivering app updates (United States).

Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards offered by these providers (such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your information.

Children’s privacy

MemoBox is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, please contact us so we can remove it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Receive a portable copy of your data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (EEA/UK residents).

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. You can also delete your account directly from within the app. We’ll respond within a reasonable time and at no cost, except where legally permitted.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy we’ll change the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in-app or by email.
